From Aarde

It’s the end of 2006 and Martien van Steenbergen coins the original idea for a startling project with Aarde as code name. Van Steenbergen writes a passionate brief on Aarde, just like the one you are reading now, and presents this to Mr. X, one of the richest people on Earth.

The presentation hits home and Mr. X buys into it and connects Van Steenbergen to the appropriate sources to help make the required initial funds available to flesh out the plans by a small, sharp and focused team—the Master Mind Alliance—during 2007.

The enormous potential of this idea and its value in areas like abundance, richness, recognition, self-expression, and community gobble the mind.

Mr. X also gears up parts of his network to leverage this historical and potentially global project to favor his own burning desires. The sheer size of this program even invites Mr. X to join forces in an unprecedented way and collaborate with other companies in order to make it the success it deserves.

A new land where you can experiment with bold ideas without the handicaps of the current, rather cruel world. Setting up a whole new large scale media effort, ranging from mobile phones, to VoIP, to Instant Messaging, to web sites, blogs and Wikis to the more traditional channels like radio and television. Aarde has an unprecedented and vast array of new, large scale opportunities for media companies to get attention for healing our Earth. This huge international potential to expand his dream immediately appeals to Mr. X, as it allows him to raise his dreams to a very large scale level, while contributing to heal the world.

From beginning to end, Aarde gives tremendous opportunity to even move new forms of tv-series like Big Brother to the next level and scale. Key difference is the fact that Aarde is a real reality program. About real people setting up a real new country. With all social, political, cultural and economical aspects under a magnifying glass.

The manuscripts and books about Aarde form the basis for movie scripts in various genres. Among them thriller, science fiction, short stories, romance, drama, humor, action, and mystery.

Aarde also results in a flurry of new and serious multi-user games, to be played on-line, on game consoles, mobile phones and media centers. These games leverage the successes of games like The Sims, World of Warcraft and Second Life to the next level as well. During 2007 and 2008 the game scripts are developed and implemented. For the first time in history, game providers (Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft) work together in a co-opetitive way to make sure gamers on each proprietary platform can talk to each other, and form tribes, mobs and communities.

Game rules mirror the real socio-eco-political rules that govern Aarde, thereby making it a very serious game, a learning environment for potential citizens as well as for game rule designers. As a result, game players are excellent candidates to actually migrate to Aarde as soon as they have reached a certain level.

These serious games are a journey through The Membrane. Players get used to the specifics of Aarde, like the gift economy, social credit, holacracy, etc. Aarde games beat online games like World of Warcraft by orders of magnitude and create a wave of goodness flushing over our Earth.

The competitive and collaborative aspects of these games are excellent inputs to exciting TV series, involving billions of eyeballs globally.

Also, the concept or format of Aarde and its derivations can be sold to other media companies resulting in another major healing revenue stream.

Effective co-creation of Aarde through Wikis, blogs, conferences, competitions, and web sites by a varied and large online communities, fueling its development while facilitating global branding of the media companies picking up on this.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg. Creative brainstorm sessions will uncover even better scenarios that will pale the list above. Among them are the World Art Festivals and Aarde Life Games.
